Description:       SURFACING DEEP FROM AN AMERICAN SURF VAULT AFTER NEARLY TWO DECADES! 

Gerry Lopez: One of the most highly regarded surfers from the 70’s to Surf Pipeline with such poise is now one of the most popular surfers in the world today.

Ah yes, finishing the auction strong with a Gerry Lopez “TEAM” Pipeliner Gun Lightning Bolt .  This historically significant surfboard was spotted in a high-end surf vault, (location classified), and was designated to anchor our Legacy auction.     We are so fortunate to have this “Museum piece” in our auction.   This gem has been restored back to its original condition by a Restoration Specialist almost two decades  ago keeping everything historically correct. The shape and integrity of this board was not altered at all.  Having the original glass of the board proves the restoration was done precisely perfect to bring every detail of the board back to its original condition from the split side Team bolts to the big white bolt on the deck.  This board has a deep burgundy tint glass job throughout showing no foam damage.   Lopez is clearly printed on the foam above the center stringer on the deck of the board, as well as his signature tissue on the upper right of the deck.  The board comes with a 6.5” fin that fits perfectly in the original fin box. 

Mr. Pipeline can be seen in all the great Surf films from “North Shore” to “Big Wednesday”... cutting forward to his documentary "The Ying and the Yang".  If you’re looking to own an incredible piece of surf history, then look no further.  What a great way to end this Legacy auction with no other than a Gerry Lopez PIPELINE TEAM LIGHTNING BOLT.   Good luck to all bidders..
