Hand shaped by the man himself, Barry Kanaiaupuni.  When B.K. built this board, he only had one thing on his mind, monster steep waves that only The North Shore can produce.  Quoted in “The Ultimate Guide to Vintage Surfboards and Collectibles” on pg. 291 quotes “ in 1975, his surfing was unparalleled at Sunset, and he was near the peak of his competitive professional career”.  The design of this special Gun compliments B.K’s surfing style.  The deck of the board is bright yellow with a striking Ferrari red shadowed lightning bolt in the center.  It has a ¼” balsa stringer with B.K. initials on the foam above the stringer.  The rail wrap and bottom have a red tint with a black bolt up by the nose with a sublime bold red glass on fin.  With attention to detail in mind, this board was fully restored and was bought back to its original condition about 15-20 years ago..
