 This hand shaped Ben Aipa “Wave Crest Hawaii” Stinger is thick and made for the powerful waves that only the North Shore can produce.   The board has a magenta tinted deck with black pin-lines flaring down the rails and a tangerine orange rail lap and bottom.  “AIPA” is written on the foam below the stringer and 508 above the stringer.   This is a later model Stinger with a fin box, not glassed on like the earlier models, and pronounce rocker on the nose.  This board has gone through a glass off restoration by Master Craftsman Horacio DeSeixas  of “Glass Works Hawaii” and over seen by  Ben Aipa himself.  We have a photo of Ben holding the board in our picture gallery.  An identical size gun is shown in the in the book Ultimate Guide to Vintage Surfboards that Ben made for Hawaiian pro Buttons Kaluhiokalani on pg 189.    This board has so much history and is up for grabs at “No Reserve”.  This board would like great in any collection or try your luck on the next monster set that comes in.
