Here is one of the cleanest Dewey Weber’s California Performer “Super Scoop” in the world found in its original condition where it sat for decades. This board was brought to our attention by a member of PIX 11 news crew where he authenticated with Shea Weber as a “Super Scoop”. It has a high density 1” foam center stringer sandwiched between two ¼ “redwood stringers with matching tail block. It has clear reveal foam down the middle of the board with yellow vertical stripes and green rail wrap on both sides of the board. It has its original red “Wonder Bolt” infamous Hatchet fin that is iconic for this style board. Weber Performers came in three nose widths, rocker, and tail widths. The “Super Scoop” design having the most rocker and width. The Super Scoop Performer was the rarer of the three Performers and designed specifically for those who wanted to “Hotdog” and get to the nose fast. It was very rare that you would find one of these in a surf shop in the 1960’s as the majority of them were special order or Team Rider boards. This is a must have in your Weber Collection…
