ULTRA RARE LIGHTNING BOLT!

Tom Parrish is a resident in Maui and when this high-end Lightning Bolt collector saw what happened in Maui, he said he wanted to help.   Pulled from his Surf Vault, especially for this auction, was this donation.  This Hakman Parrish Hawaiian Design Lightning Bolt Gun was hand shaped by Tom Parrish.   Tangerine Orange deck with the Hakman Parrish logo design and a huge white lightning bolt.  Black pin-lines on the rail, turns into a deep candy apple red rails and bottom.  Stellar black on single fin perfectly situated above the diamond tail.  In the book, “The Ultimate Guide to Vintage Surfboards and Collectibles” on pg 182 quotes, “Tom Parrish only shaped about 150 surfboards of the Hakman Parrish models between 1974-76, under the critical eye of Jeff Hakman, the most successful pro of the early to mid 70’s.  Parrish went on to become the most in demand shaper for lightning bolt”.    This board has gone through a full glass off restoration performed by restoration specialist Randy Rarick.  The shape and integrity of this board was not changed or altered in any way, shape or form.

As mentioned, 100% of the proceeds of this board will be sent to Maui to help the animals and pets affected by the awful wild fires that destroyed the city of Lahaina on the island of Maui..   In addition, the winner of this board will also receive a free copy of the “Ultimate Guide to Vintage Surfboards”.   Thank you to all who bid on this Tom Parish Surfboard for such a worthy cause.
