Here is a last-minute drop in by one of our favorite local surfers who was totally stoked about entering his board.   A Bing “Maui Foil” in a solid 9 all original condition.  Shaped by Bing in early January 1970.  Great all clear foam deck, vibrant logo with the script “The Maui Foil” written on the side.  Magenta bottom and rail wrap with “The Guidance Fin System” with no missing spacers.    This is an extremely clean and rare board.  In the Bing Surfboard book “ Fifty Years of Craftsmanship and Innovations “on page 104  you can see a similar board with the exact logo.  At the bottom of the same page “Surfer May 1970” quotes “ Changes were happening so fast in surfboard design that many surfers and some manufactures were having a hard time keeping up.  Bing Surfboards took the opportunity to remind Surfers readership that the label was up to speed with contemporary advances, but also had a long history of craftsmanship design – a message of reassurance amide the tumult”.   Here is a true piece of history during the transitional period with Bing leading the way.  Here is your chance to own this piece of history if you’re the highest bidder.  Bid with pride and confidence for this beauty.  Good luck to all bidders.
