Description: FIRST TIME ON THE AUCTION BLOCK!    FROM THE NORTH SHORE OF OAHU!

Wow!  A hand shaped Ben Aipa surfboard with full color spectrum throughout with multiple logos.  This board was found in a private Hawaiian vault at the North Shore in Haleiwa, HI.  When the owner of this board decided to get a full glass off restoration, he went to North Shores very own “Glass Works Hawaii” known for their expertise in glassing and color work.  This is by far some of Glass Works Hawaii best restorations we’ve seen from them.  Bravo!   Starting at the tip of the purple nose to the ocean colors of blue/green to bright yellow sunshine surrendering to the sunset colors of orange and red.  It has the Aipa logo on the upper deck to multicolored AIPA lettering down by the tail.  Written on the deck by the center stringer says Ben Aipa for -Ricky- and further down the deck has the serial #3865 with dimensions.  The deck and bottom rails say “Surf Line Hawaii” with double Aipa Logos on the bottom and fin box.

Ben Aipa, a local Hawaiian Legend who left us way too early was known for his influence on the evolution of surfboard design in the early 1970’s.  His name for surfing and shaping is right there with Buttons, L. B., Michael Ho just to name a few…. This board is up at no reserve and is ready to share some Aloha spirit to its new Care Giver.  Good Luck.
