“IN CONJUNCTION WITH RANDY RARICK’S NOSERIDING PROJECT “THE SUMMER OF 66”
This board was found way back in the garage with layers of dust on it. A quick clean with a wet towel and WALA! The deck is all clear with a 1 ¾ inch high density blue foam stringer sandwiched by 1/8 of an inch redwood stringers, with an off centered Con logo. The Ugly logo on the bottom is centered up by the nose which was typical. It comes with a removal swept back black fin which shows it’s a later model. The earlier Con Ugly’s had a glass on fin. The tail does have the lift to it with serial# 5537 to side of the stringer. This board was made for one purpose and one purpose only, NOSERIDING. This board is identical to the one in Randy Rarick’s recently released design project ‘Summer of 66”. If you’re looking for a 100% classic Nose rider with NO RESERVE, well here it is. On page 119 in the “Ultimate Guide of Vintage Surfboard’s” there is a very similar Con Ugly valued at $2,500 - $3,500, so we feel our estimated value is spot on.
