Here is a special order, handcrafted balsa Malibu Chip by Dale Velzy.  When Surf Central Surf shop in Stuart Beach, Florida opened its doors in 1998 he wanted surf history hanging on his walls.  He didn’t want any balsa board he wanted an Iconic balsa board, a balsa Malibu Chip and contracted Dale Velzy to do it.  The loudest and most “Bad – Ass” guy on the block.  This board is flawless, and in 10+ condition.  Solid balsa not chambered, classic oval “Surfboards by Velzy” logo, hand signed by Dale Velzy under the class, and above that says Shaped for…Doug Pippins…Surf Central in ink under the hot coat.  The glass on redwood halo fin is stunning and burst with color when hit with sun light.  The glass work was done by no other than Channin who was the go-to Glasser for all of Dale Velzy’s and Greg Nolls modern re-creations of the Da Cats.   This is one of the best examples of a modern classic Balsa Malibu Chip with next level craftsmanship we have ever seen.  Surf Central recently closed its doors for retirement and he wanted this gem to go to a new home for hopefully another 25 years, so he called us to help.  Here is your chance to own a piece of history, original owner, and a hand shaped special order Dale Velzy balsa with all the provenances.  It’s going, going, gone to the highest bidder!!!!!   Don’t miss out.  Utilize your proxy bids and bid with confidence.  Many waves of Aloha and good luck..
