There are vintage surfboard collectors, then there are the private “High End Collectors” that only want the best and it must be 100% ALL ORIGINAL!!  Well, here it is a Dewey Weber “Pre Performer”, confirmed by Shea Weber and he quotes “ Absolutely a Pre Performer…..and a really nice one to boot.  We determine as Pre – Performer because it is an early Performer shape, with the Hatchet Fin, but no Performer logo”.  This hand shaped board has a 1 ½ inch balsa center stringer with two blue offset pinstripes on both sides of the board to match its blue Hatchet fin. Which is stunning by the way.   This was a special-order board, not just the typical stock board due to its size, large balsa stringer, and offset “Outline” Dewey Weber logo.
