HOLY GRAIL WOOD ALERT!

This is an unbelievable find!  A solid redwood 12’ surfboard, that has had the deck hollowed out!  One solid slab of redwood, with a speed shape, that has had the interior routed out and then fitted with redwood plank decking, sealed into place with brass screws.  Thus eliminating excess weight and making the board lighter and more manageable.  It would have been great had this just been a solid redwood plank, but with extra work to hollow it out, it is absolutely incredible!  All original!  Unrestored, untouched!.  When the Royal Hawaiian Hotel was remodeled, they cleared out the basement storeroom and a variety of wood surfboards had been in storage for years.  This particular board was uncovered in the pile of boards and has been in a private collection ever since! For those looking for a fine example of the early wood surfboard designs, this is the one!  Motivated seller, offering this at NO RESERVE, with a conservative pre-auction estimate.
