Lot #30 Con Ugly

In conjunction with Randy Rarick's Noseriding Project "The SUMMER of '66"

Description

FIRST TIME ON THE AUCTION BLOCK!    FROM SANTA MONICA CALIFORNIA!  NO RESERVE!   PART OF THE “SUMMER OF 66 NOSERIDING SERIES”

This board was found all the way in the back of a private collectors Surf Vault.   When found the bottom looked amazing, then I turned it over and said WTF.  It had some funky slip check, or an extra layer of blurred glass is the best way to describe it.  So, we sent it out to sand off the grime on the deck, reglossed the deck and polished the whole board and WOW!!  Look what was underneath.  A solid 9 out 10 by anyone’s standards.  The Ugly logo on the bottom by the nose is PERFECT!   It has a high density 2.5”black foam center stringer sandwiched by two redwood stringers with matching tail block.   It has a black polypropylene glassed on fin that shows some signs of wear.  The tail has an amazing lift to it with serial # 4811 on the foam.  It does have some blemishes on the foam by the tail.  The rocker on the nose is 20” wide.  This board was made for one purpose and one purpose only, NOSERIDING.   This board is identical to the one used in Randy Rarick’s recently released design project “Summer of 66”.    If you’re looking for a classic Nose rider, well here it is.   Be proud to own this one.
