Lot #19 Greg Noll Bug

Listing Image
Description

FOUND ON THE EAST COAST FROM A PRIVATE COLLECTOR!

NO RESERVE!     NO RESERVE!      NO RESERVE!

This Greg Noll V Bottom Bug was Greg’s answer to the transitional period and the short board invasion as the boards started to get smaller.   It has a slight abstract design on the nose of the deck and bottom.   This board has the Aggressive rider logo, and the red is bright as it was when produced.  The swept back multi color fin is out of this world,  a double take for sure.  All dings on the board have been repaired and ready to ride or hang in your Beach House as a conversation piece.  Greg quotes “Charlie calls me and says I’ve got the new board that’s gonna start the whole revolution”.  This protype board by George Downing, Ben Aipa and Charlie was called the Bug.  Similar board to this one, same dimensions can be seen on pg 90 in “The Art of the Surfboard”.  The book also quotes, “These boards were produced and sold out of Greg Noll Surfcenter in Hawaii and were actual Guns sawed down to 7”11”.    A VERY RARE BOARD FOR SURE!
