BIG WAVE GUN MADE FOR THE WAVES THAT ONLY WAIMEA CAN PRODUCE. This board was hand shaped by Ben Aipa under his own label, Wave Crest Hawaii.  One of the largest Wave Crest Hawaii Boards on the planet that Ben shaped.  This Stinger has a Yellow deck with white and blue nose design flaring down the rails.  “Aipa” written on the foam above the stringer with “178” below the stringer.  Purple rails and bottom, glassed on white fin with blue and purple outline with a halo finish.  This board was restored by “Glassworks Hawaii”, known for their exquisite taste, and keeping the heritage of surfing in all their restorations.  A similar gun is shown in the “Ultimate Guide to vintage Surfboards” that was made for “Buttons” Kaluhiokalani on pg 189.  That board was 8’6 but a larger board was needed, hence this big 9’8 Big Wave Gun.
